Construction Manager/Project Manager in Water Services

Work as a Construction Manager/Project Manager

In your role as a construction manager, you will lead the daily construction activities and, together with the project manager, be responsible for ensuring the quality of our water projects. You will do this by reviewing and following up on the work and assisting with experience and knowledge on how the facilities should be designed. You will also ensure that the schedule and budget are followed. In smaller projects, you may take on both the project manager and construction manager roles.

As a construction manager/project manager in the Planning & Project Water team, you have an important role as Falu Energi & Vatten's representative on-site and participate in construction and financial meetings, workplace inspections, inspections, and operational reviews. In other words, your days are very varied.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide constructive proposals for solutions
• Support contractors
• Document information
• Communicate information to relevant parties
• Handle contract law
• Coordinate resources internally and externally
• Manage customer inquiries

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you enjoy being the spider in the web and have good communication skills. You are results-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and plan your work. Additionally, you find it easy to get people to collaborate towards a common goal. In your role, you need to be able to make independent decisions and work in an organized manner.

You who are applying have:

• Vocational or university education with a focus on construction, road & water, civil engineering, environmental construction, or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of work experience in water services
• At least 5 years of work experience in construction and/or civil engineering
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good IT skills to manage digital tools and aids
• Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Experience in work management or project management
• Good knowledge of contract law
• Experience in project design
• Knowledge of AMA and MER facilities and construction workplace safety

The Planning & Project Water Group

You will belong to the competent and dedicated Planning & Project Water group. The group consists of project managers, measurement and mapping engineers, water engineers, and construction managers. Our mission is to ensure our water supply to the residents of Falu municipality, and we conduct everything from renewal projects to new construction and renovation of our water network. We have an exciting and varied everyday life in a socially important function. We are now strengthening the group with another construction manager/project manager.
